Fluoroelastomers with Enhanced Properties
The Viton™ A-type family of fluoroelastomers are dipolymers comprised of hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and vinylidene fluoride (VF₂). They are used in a wide range of extrusion, injection molding, and solution coating applications, and some grades act as effective curing chemicals and metal adhesion promoters.
Typical products that use Viton™ A-type fluoroelastomers include:
- O-rings
- Valve stem and shaft seals
- Parts with complicated shapes
- Fuel hoses and tubing
- Solution coatings for fabrics, tanks, and chemical containers
